Who deserves the ocean-view room at the family beach house?

My side
My grandparents have a little house on the Outer Banks where the whole family spends part of the summer. There’s one bedroom with an ocean view, and three that look out on the driveway. For years, it’s been my brother’s and his girlfriend’s, because they always get there first. This summer, I got there before them and moved in, suitcase open and towel spread on the bed. My brother showed up that evening and asked me to move, because “it’s tradition.” I think a tradition is just a habit nobody ever dared to question.
Their side
My brother explains that he and his girlfriend take that room because they stay two full weeks, while I usually only come for a few days. They’re also the ones who open up the house at the start of summer: cleaning, yard work, shutters, spider hunting. According to him, that room isn’t a trophy, it’s a way of thanking them for all that work.
