My side

In my family, on Christmas Eve, we play Monopoly. It’s tradition. And it’s also tradition that my sister is the banker. This year, I saw her slip a $500 bill under the board. Then a second one. I called it out loud. She denied it, laughing. I pushed, she laughed even harder. So I put my token away, set my properties on the table, and went to sulk in the kitchen, with the pie. My mom says I ruined the evening. I think the evening was ruined by the family central bank.

Their side

My sister admits she cheats a little, but according to her, it’s been part of the game since we were kids. Everybody knows, and usually everybody laughs about it, me included. She thinks I took a board game way too seriously, and that walking off with the pie was a lot worse than a fake $500 bill made of paper.
