Shared Uber after the concert: I live farthest, do I pay more?

My side
After a concert, four of us took an Uber home because the last train was long gone. The driver dropped off one friend after ten minutes, another a bit farther, then a third. I was last: forty minutes in total. The ride cost $64. I suggested splitting it four ways, like we usually do: $16 each. The friend dropped off first thought that was unfair. She rode for ten minutes and would pay the same as me, who rode the whole way. She wants to pay by distance. I think everyone used the same car, and without the group, nobody would have taken it.
Their side
My friend explains that on her own, she would have paid about $15, since she lives very close to the venue. By sharing, she pays $16, so more than if she’d gone home alone. For her, sharing only makes sense if it saves everyone money. She suggests a simple rule: everyone pays their share of the ride up to their stop.
