My husband reloads the dishwasher after I do it: who’s right?

My side
At our place, I’m the one who loads the dishwasher. And my husband is the one who unloads it. Not to empty it: to redo it. Every night, I hear him sigh in the kitchen, pull out three bowls, move the glasses, turn the plates “the right way.” One day he even drew a diagram and stuck it on the fridge with a magnet. With arrows and a legend. Me, I notice the dishes come out clean, so my method works. He thinks loading a dishwasher is a precision sport. I finally told him that if he’s going to redo everything, he can just do everything. He looked genuinely hurt.
Their side
He explains he’s not doing it to annoy me. When the bowls go on the bottom rack, they come out full of dirty water, and he’s the one who empties the machine. He’s had to rewash pots more than once. The diagram was meant to help, not to lecture. According to him, two minutes of smart loading saves a second wash, and the planet thanks him.
