Karate carpool: I’m sick of always being the one who drives

My side
My daughter does karate on Wednesdays with the son of another mom from school. At the start of the year, she asked if I could take him “now and then,” since I’m going anyway. I said yes. For three months now, it’s been every Wednesday, there and back, no exceptions. The boy is a sweetheart, that’s not the issue. But I sometimes have to take an hour off work, and I make a twenty-minute detour to drop him at home. I suggested alternating every other week. She said she really doesn’t have the time, and that it doesn’t change much for me, since I’m going anyway.
Their side
According to her, she works until 6 p.m. on Wednesdays with zero flexibility, while I’m lucky enough to have a more flexible schedule. She thanks me often, and even gave me a box of chocolates in September. For her, asking to alternate means taking karate away from her son, and she thought parents help each other out without keeping score.
