My side
In our apartment, there’s one thermostat and two camps. Me, I’m always cold. At 66 degrees, I live under a blanket, in ski socks and a beanie on the couch. I ask for 72. My boyfriend is always hot. At 72, he opens the window and sleeps in a T-shirt on top of the comforter. He ended up setting the thermostat to 66 and hiding the little remote behind a houseplant. I found it. Now we turn the temperature up and down several times a night, without a word, like two spies. He says I could put on a sweater. I tell him he could put on shorts.
Their side
He thinks 66 degrees is already comfortable, that the bill climbs fast above that, and that a sweater fixes the problem. According to him, you can always bundle up when you’re cold, but there’s not much you can do when you’re too hot. He reminds me he got me a heated blanket, and that he sleeps terribly as soon as the bedroom goes over 68.
